Microsoft recently added to the Outlook application some animations, say “happy.” These show a rain of brightness every time Outlook detects various words that manifest joy; like the classic “Congratulations” or “Happy Birthday.” Therefore, here we will explain how to deactivate them.
First of all, this change is more than anything aesthetic, we say it just in case you don’t like the brightness or anything “cheerful” in your computer. For this reason, if you are using an email for your work or even your personal email, let’s say the “cheerful glow” is not going well.
This could serve to send emails to your loved ones on special occasions; but not at work or if you are going to send an email to a company, business or company. As well as some particular person that you don’t know.
How do these animations appear in Outlook?
These “cheerful animations” appear when an email you received is displayed in the reading pane of the Outlook web application. Words that are considered “cheerful” are highlighted, and when you move the mouse over them, a rain of glitter and other colors is shown that rises and falls like a firework of primary colors that fades in the wind.
You can take this note: These animations are only available in the modern version of the Outlook web application. If you still use the classic version, you won’t see them.
Although at first they might seem subtle, beautiful and pleasing to the eye; In time they will not be so much. And we reiterate that they will not be so much due to the use you are giving to your email. If it is for serious things like work, then this aesthetic resources (because nothing else is that), it is too much.
For this reason, here we show you how to disable those things so that they do not reappear in your email in any way.
Steps to remove animations
- First, click on the Settings
- gear and then click on “See all Outlook settings”.
- Switch to the “Email” setting and then click on “Compose and reply.”
- On the right side, scroll down, uncheck the “Show cheerful animations in the reading pane” checkbox and then click Save.
You will no longer see the cheerful animations
And that’s all! You will no longer see brightness or highlighted words when you receive an email with a word “cheerful” in the content. It should be noted that this option will always be the default, so you will have to do the operation manually in your Outlook account.
If in your company they work with several of these accounts, you will have to follow the steps of this guide so that the cheerful animations, the brightness and all those things are deactivated once and for all. In this way, the seriousness in the way you send your emails will return to normal and you can send them calmly as before.
